Any traveling person on this globe is a friend of Good Neighbor Insurance. Why? Because most of the team members at AdventureSportsInsurance have lived and traveled overseas, and still do.
This web site, www.adventuresportsinsurance.com site was created not only to protect those enjoying adventurous and extreme sports far from home, but also our co-owner, Doug Gulleson, loves scuba diving and adventure sports.
Below are some of our adventure sports friends. We can’t imagine a life without their challenge and passion for life! They are friends like you that we connected with via the web, via email, over the phone, or over an adventure. Some have become great friends with us, and others we just enjoy keeping up with. But – anyone who lives passionately, follows their heart, travels and to enjoys adventure sports is automatically a great friend of ours here at AdventureSportsInsurance!
Welcome. Don’t just “aim for the stars” – Be inspired by our friends below and then go do it!
Annette O’Neil is an extreme sports expert on About.com, a friend, a third-culture kid (like us!), a writer, producer, and a skydiving / speedflying / basejumping fan. To say, “fan” hardly describes her though, as she actively promotes adventure sports, instruction, and safety. She is the only female athlete (and one of few athletes total) to achieve BASE — building, antenna, span and earth — in just four jumps. We’re never sure where to find her – Switzerland or South America, or…? But you can keep up with her on her website: http://www.clevergingercreative.com/about/
“To put it simply: we’re making magic here. And we want to share it.
Doing this stuff, at first, is really, really hard. Once you learn to lean in and breathe through it, the skill-building gets startlingly rewarding. From there, it only gets better. And better. And better. Soon, the culture and community and rhythm of these sports will engulf your life in a way you’re going to have to experience to understand. Trust me.”
“Untie the lines”
“Untie the lines” is a video journey of a gal from Europe and her boat called, “Karl” – Sailing solo and sharing her story of how she met her boat, and how they enjoy epic adventures together. Her story is really cool. She lives the dream without frills, and has a blast. My type of person! Her video blog just fun to watch. We had to add her to our friend’s list, because she represents our traveling spirit here at Good Neighbor Insurance, as well as everyone that is on this page.

“A Thing of Beauty!”
That is a perfect phrase and wonderful title for this great traveling family: Cody, Jatta, and their two loveable dogs. You want to really see the beauty of the Sea of Cortez, Mexico, Nicaragua, and many other areas in South America, check the links below. A “novice” sailing family, enjoying nature and different people groups, is what I enjoy learning about their life and watching them walk out their travel adventures. Love this videos’ titles.

El Mar Dive Center:
Are you a scuba diving fan like me? Do you live in Phoenix Metro area of Arizona like I do? Then you need to stop into El Mar Dive Shop in Mesa, Arizona. They are a father / daughter small business and have been open for over 50 years. I have enjoyed their great customer service, superb product knowledge, and quick responses. They have tons, (and I mean tons!) of equipment and dive gear. The most I have seen in a scuba shop. They also provide all kinds of scuba diving classes for all ages and all levels.
The El Mar team also provides scuba diving vacations to San Carlos, Mexico and many other dive destinations. Yes, you deserve to stop by and say “hi” to their friendly and amazing team. And when you do stop by for the first time, you will have found your “scuba dive shop home” for good! I know I have!
“We’re not just a scuba shop, we’re a Professional Facility that has the Knowledge, Experience and Patience to help you Start Your Adventure!”
Sailing Simplicity is a young lady who has a passion for living simple while sailing the world at the same time. Her blog articles, TEDx presentations, and publications are top notch. Teresa Carey is an inspiring woman with a ton of courage, or “gumption.” She not only has dreams, but lives her dreams. She is an inspiration for all of us here at Good Neighbor Insurance. We admire her desire to share her ideas and thoughts with others and, more importantly, she does what she talks about. She lives a simple, yet very fulfilled and happy life. For that, we place her on our friend’s web page as an honorary member.
“Thank you, Teresa Carey for not only enjoying your passion of adventure sports through sailing but also sharing with the world how to do it in a very awesome yet simple lifestyle manner!”
